Every design is inspired by children's drawings from around the world. From each sale we share 10-20% of the profits with their schools to support children off the streets and into education.
Our Mission
Branding and packaging
Our branding was designed by members of Livability in the UK a charity who help people with disabilities find work.
Our Studs of Hope collection packaging is now 100% recyclable. So every online order you receive will be plastic free too.
Materials
Vurchoo used 100% recycled silver (925, hypoallergenic) and ethically sourced gemstones as well as some lab made CZ stones... but times are changing.
During recent research into how ethical our materials are, we discovered that using recycled silver is NOT as ethical as it sounds, and gemstones are easily labelled ethically sourced with no real back up behind it.
We try hard to be on the front line of ethical jewellery, but even I can suffer from the industry's green-washing.
Paying a premium for 'sustainable' recycled silver may be doing more harm than good in some cases. So we will be taking a step back from this claim.
Now we are making movements to review this process and source. to find why have a click here.
Manufacture
We are now working with small workshops and suppliers around the world to produce our Studs of Hope collection and have carried out due diligence and checks on all suppliers.
We ensure we only work with people that make the world around them a better place.
-They all support and carry out gender equality within the workplace.
- No discrimination
- Fair working hours
- Safe working environments
- No child labour
- No precarious employment
- Protection of the environment
- Ethical business behavior
& non of the rubbish big business green-washing.
Tomorrow
We quickly realised what the world needs isn't a few perfect people, but everyone trying to be better than they were yesterday.
Putting ethics first is a never ending journey and something we are passionate about. We are so proud of what has been accomplished.
