This elegant pair of Asymmetrical Rice Drop Earrings features a rice grain at the top of the earring connected by different length chains, showing the path to another rice grain leaving the husk. The inspiration for this design came from The Salariin Kamuchea School in Cambodia that helps many young adults such as Hun Pitou prepare for adult life.
The drawing from Hun Pitou shows her story from the paddy fields that surround her village, and are the life-line for many villages in Cambodia, to the rising sun on the horizon, signifying her coming of age.
From the sale of each pair of Rice Grain Pendant Earrings, The Salariin Kampuchea School will be able to provide one student with an essential supply kit consisting of stationary and exercise books, or whatever is most needed at the time.
